Filing Room Maintenance Workshop

On Saturday March 10, 2001 we gathered together a great group of Filers and Maintenance Mechanics, for our filing room maintenance workshop. Cummings Lumber in Troy, PA. was the host for our class and Vic Berge of New England Machinery was our instructor. We started the day in a classroom setting where Vic began his instruction on the key principles of alignment that apply to all profile grinders regardless of what brand. From there we moved into the filing room for some hands-on training.

We spent a large amount of the day working on the profile grinders but also found time to discuss alignment procedures and critical wear points on the autoleveller, tensioning bench and dual side grinder. Vic was a wealth of knowledge to all the attendees, as he always is. We finished the day by answering some particular questions from each of the members in attendance.

All in all I think the course was a huge success thanks in large part to Cummings Lumber and Vic Berge who are always so generous with their support of our Association.
